Are you tired of the stress of managing your own investment portfolio? Do you want to take the guesswork out of investing and feel like you need the assistance of a professional? We can help.

At Sweetgrass Financial Planning, we believe that the markets are relatively efficient. While we acknowledge that there are some actively managed funds and fund managers that seem to still be able to beat the market on a consistent basis, the overwhelming majority of fund managers consistently underperform their respective indexes. Because of this, we are not necessarily looking to outperform the market with our portfolios, but rather we look to build well-diversified portfolios that can capture market-like returns while generating the least expenses and tax consequences as possible.

We build our portfolios with a core of diversified, low-cost mutual funds and tailor each portfolio to the goals and risk tolerance of the client. Based on the client’s particular wants and needs, we may couple the core portfolio holdings with a “satellite” comprised of a limited selection of actively managed mutual funds that have a very long, proven track record of above market returns and low expenses.

Price

We have two tiers of clients that we provide investment management for: Comprehensive Financial Planning Clients and Investment Only Clients.

Investment management for our Comprehensive Financial Planning clients is included in the monthly financial planning fee that we charge. You can learn more about our Comprehensive Financial Planning Service here.

For clients that only want help with their investments and are not in need of our financial planning service, we use a blended fee schedule based on the assets under management (AUM) of each household. The fee schedule outlined below are annual fees that are assessed in arrears at the end of each month on the account (i.e., at the end of each month 1/12th of the annual fee will be assessed). The fee assessed is based on the account values on the last day of each month.

For example (see chart below), an Investment Only client with an account valued at $1,500,000 would pay an effective annual fee of 0.84%, which would amount to an annual fee of $12,575. One-twelfth ($1047.92) of this fee would be assessed at the end of each month.
